Thankful

I'm a very thankful to have my website to help keep me busy while my husband is away. I have learned so many things I thought was impossible. At times it may be hard but then a light goes off and it doesn't seem so bad.

I have been working hard in getting the site out there. I have been adding www.armyspousesonline.com to many search engines as well as webrings. I hope to have it up and fully running soon. A few members are starting to post as well as some of our long time members. I can't wait for the day where there are post that have been read and replied too. I can't wait to make new friends and help those who may need a shoulder to cry on.

Other than that there are so many things that I am thankful to have in my life. I have my husband, my children and even my dog. I am glad that I have the support of my family and friends from a far.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Smile,
Army Spouses Online.

Roller Coaster

Membership is up but posting is down. I know life can get a little busy. Trust me I know, I'm a mother to two angles and one furbaby as well as a husband who is constantly on the go.

I have been making modifications to the board as well as working on my link exchange. Myspace as also help me when I have been trying to promote my group. Which is nice. You learned about other services out there that are geared toward military. We also have an Blog bulit in to our message board and I set that up to put lots of great information about the Army life and experience.

When the board is active I'm glad we only have little to no drama. When we have the little bumps in the road it's basically just that a little bump and dies down fast. I'm hoping that one day my website will grow just like the others on the web. I have put in a lot of time and effort finding information I fing very useful.

Trying to figure out how to get the word out is much hard than you think. A lot of it comes from money and being military you know money is tight. I do tend rely on word of mouth as well has hoping someone just do a simple search to find out site. But I know our site will be among one of the tops one day. :)

The wonderful world of getting the word out!

So it has been a month since my last post and I have been busy trying to figure out ways to get www.armyspouses.net out there. I have redone the website, well just a little. I basically did a little house cleaning. And cleaned up the site a bit. I have joined many webrings as well as exhange links with a few website. But membership is still moving slow.

I have added a guest section called ASO jump start. If you are thinking about joining our online community they can go there and ask questions and what not be for they join. Which I think is pretty cool.

As for the online community I have added many useful articles in the blog section of the board as well as a little shout box/chat room. I have added many more themes to the message board as well. Army Spouses Online is still and always be a private online community.

I'm pretty excited that we are number 1 on wedoo.com discussion board. the last time I had check we were number 36 or something. We are at about 423 on the military top site. which is okay. But I'm sure once word spread we will be moving on up.

I think in the end all the hard work I put in to my site it will grow nicely.

We are slowly blooming

We are slowly growing but wish moreactive. I'm on there alot finding new ways to make it fun for members. Whether it's adding new board themes or creating new weekly polls it's pretty fun. We have many things on our site for members ranging from Blogs or trivia games and a place to share photos. I am hoping to add a chat on there soon as well.

Membership is up but not much posting going on. We do have one active group and its nice to them posting and making use of ASO. But I do wish other members would start to participate and make their group fun and enjoyable for its members. Every group is the same so it's not like one group will be funner then other's it just goes by state/area.

I have been advertising like crazy to get the word out. I have been pluging the site into search engines and webrings. I have been doing and applying for link exchange. I think the most fustrating part is when you receive an email saying they will responed to you with in 48-72 hours and get nothing at all after their response period is up. But I will keep trying.

What is Army Spouses Website?

Well, Army Spouses Website is a place for army Spouses, soon to be army spouses as well as girlfriends and boyfriends to come and seek, support as well as friendship. We started as a yahoo group called ArmySpousesInHawaii and then it was moved to HawaiiarmySpouses.com which no longer available. With a great support of membership from Hawaii Army Spouses also known as HAS I thought it would be fun to add a new twist to our website by adding a message board that offers different groups depending on where you are located instead of having over 30+ message boards to manage.

We are still in our beginning phase and we are hoping to get this place booming with new and active members. I am on daily checking up on the site and trying to keep up to date. It's a very friendly atmosphere and I think most will like it. What makes us different from other message board is that you are able to give our members support no matter where they are and its all related to the army life and experience of an army spouse. We all may be different but we also share a common bond.

The one thing Army Spouses is not is we are not a dating service. We are not FRG (Family Readiness Group) and don't claim to be one either. We are only here to provide support, friendship and information. We do encourage our members to join their local FRG. Our website is not affiliated, endorsed, authorized, or associated in any way with the government or military.
